Gordon’s Clinical Evaluation: CR tested carbide 330 and diamond round-end taper coarse instruments because of their popularity. Both performed comparable to premium rotary instruments and have desirable low cost.

Advantages:

  • Low Cost allows single patient use
  • Cut efficently
  • Both bur and diamond had smooth concentric cutting

Limitation:

  • As with most brands, carbide occasionally broke during use

CR CONCLUSIONS: 78% of 23 CR Evaluators stated they would incorporate EdgeBur Carbides and EdgeBur Diamonds into their practice. 83% rated them excellent or good and worthy of trial by colleagues.
